Features forms of solar-diurnal variations of geomagnetic SqY fields over Antarctica

Abstract:
An analysis of the average monthly quiet solar-diurnal variations of Sq eastern magnetic field components defined in the Antarctic observatory "Akademik Vernadsky" AIA for the three cycles of the Sun, showed seasonal distortion of the standard daily variation Sq. The existence of only two types of daily variation SqY: the summer with a predominantly Western and winter with eastward current. The advent of winter, additional maximum of east current at morning (5-7LT) and a negative midnight disturbance which are not related to the dynamo system Sq, possibly, but with an increase of ionospheric conductivity and residual convective fields and aurora jets.
